‘Praise to the life-giving Nectar of the Mother’ is a prayer of love to water as it moves through the various stages from winter into spring. This heartfelt prayer consists out of poems and improvisational songs in response to the unfolding scenes that draws the audience into an intimate, magical, and sometimes haunting world of water. This video is about having a vibrant relationship to the living world in which we live and our role in it to keep this world alive. Water’s elegant language elicits an eloquent response to meet its greatness and feed its holiness.

The video consists out of two 30 min. pieces, the first one ‘Solidity’ moves us into the stages of winter, the second one ‘Solidity-Fluidity-Ascension’ brings us into the stages of spring melt. The two parts are best viewed with a break in between because of the multiple levels of layers and images. The video benefits from seeing it multiple times as one will continue to discover new things in it. May we look with new eyes and create a deeper relationship to water and overcome winter’s discomforts by noticing its changes and beauty.
